The fall is one of my favourite times of the year. It can go from the
most gloriously sunny, Indian-summer days to the kind of drizzly grey
days that the coast is known for rather quickly. You can never really
count on what you'll get when planning ahead. This particular early
morning that I spent with the Speidels was completely engulfed in a
thick blanket of fog. It was some of the thickest fog I've ever seen yet bright and dreamy and added just a little bit of magic to their
session. I love how it pulled the focus to their relationship as a
family and their obvious infatuation with sweet Autumn. She is the
happiest, sweetest, little girl you will ever meet. Their photos are
some of my very favourite I've taken! Thanks so much for letting me tag
along.

More Catching Up - family photography / Maple Ridge, BC
This was my first time documenting an extended family and I kinda loved it. I'm obviously passionate about photographing families, but seeing families grow not only in age but in size? there's something magical and comforting in that.

Catching Up - family photography / Maple Ridge, BC
I had the pleasure of photographing Brandi and Chris and their girls last fall. At the risk of sounding gushy I have to say that I was struck by the overwhelming sense of love that poured out of this family. Its not always the case when you blend two families together and I think it speaks volumes about Brandi and Chris. It was such a beautiful day. I love the time of year when the sunshine has just begun to lose its summer warmth.
